Engine:

To keep the engine safe, change oil regularly at about every 5,000 km. Observe the manufacturers recommendations on oil and filter changes. Engine oil, transmission fluid and fuel are the systems that required to be checked and replaced regularly. Carelessness in this aspect may lead to failure of your engine performance, sooner resulting in falling mileage.
Cooling System:
The cooling system is vital to protect the engine from overheating. At least once in every fortnight water and coolant should be monitored and more frequently in summers. The ratio of the water and coolant should be equal.
Tires:
Tires are the exterior part of the car which could be checked easily and regularly. They wear down unevenly. Check the tread wear of the tires and air pressure at regular intervals. Monitor the wheels from uneven tread wear, punctures, bulges, or cuts on the side wall of the tires and even be consious on stones and gravel entangles in the tire tread. Under-inflated tires, fuel consumption raises by 10%. Rotating the tires routinely will stretches the life of your tires greatly. Rotate and balance the tires regularly.
Battery:
Scrub the battery and give a light coating of grease, it protects the battery & its terminals from corrosion. In addition, it is crucial to know the level of the distilled water in the battery and assure that the plates are covered. Very low level of water increases acidic nature and that the plates gets corroded.
Interior:
The internal or interior of the car must be cleaned frequently and spotlessly. Transmission fluid:
To assure the transmission of fluid turn the ignition key. To check this, the car should be idling in Park. Dip the stick to read the level of the fluid. Smell the fluid to make sure it odor shouldn't be pungent or burnt. The fluid appears pinkish when it is in good conditions. If the fluid needs to be filled, add it carefully by using funnel. Again check the level with th help of dipstick.
Spark Plugs:
Aged or defective plugs cause misfire, fall mileage, loss of power and slow and elongated starting time. Spark plug wires should be replaced along with the spark plugs.
Lights:
Lights should focus properly, it is safe for you and even for oncoming vehicles. Turn on low beam so that it does not hinder your view. Ensure whether all the lights are clean and working, including brakes lights, turn signals and emergency flashers. So then, remember to give regular servicing to your car to keep away the problems on the roadside.
